Birth of the blues was posted yesterday with the mega stars Johnny, Sammy, Dean, and Frank.
Now see the Wizard of Waukesha Les Paul and Mr. Guitar Chet Atkins play the song on Guitar.
This is Magic.

Les Paul starts with “Birth of the Blues” and Chet Atkins joins in.

This show is at Kiel Opera House in St Louis June 1965 when Carson hosted the Tonight Show. This is supposed to be the ONLY time Carson sang in public.

If that is true, that is a shame. This is the way The Carson Show blew every other tv show away forever.
Kids today have no idea what a great treasure was on television.

I don’t know who this guy is, but he has the song down. I’d like to see more of the fun that Chet and Jerry put into it. But this is a SOLID performace. Now I have to see what else he has on his web page.

This earns the placement here — the homage to Chet and Jerry at the end is very nice.
