A quick note about the FLU SHOT

Every year I hear people say that the flu shot gave the the flu. I quickly ask now if they were sick for 2 weeks, crawling, aching joints, and vomiting and diarrhea. Huge head pain, constantly ill.

The answer is pretty much “No” and “they just felt a little off for 2 or 3 days and not 100%”.

Duh, that is your body giving you immunity to the real flu. Real flu makes you super sick, makes you feel like hell for 2 weeks. The real flu is misery incarnate. The real flu will make you re-think all the choices you make. The real flu will have you washing your hands and spraying disinfectant all of the time. The real flu is really bad.

And if you are a wimp about the needles, then get the nasal mist.

So as a warning, stop complaining about getting the flu from the flu shot.
Go get the shot, or mist.
If you do get the flu just once, you won’t miss the flu shot again as long as you clearly remember it.

Roy Rogers’ Prayer

Roy Rogers and his wife, Dale Evans, were devoted Christians. Below is a prayer written by Roy.

Lord, I reckon I’m not much just by myself,
I fail to do a lot of things I ought to do.
But Lord, when trails are steep and passes high,
Help me ride it straight the whole way through.

And when in the falling dusk I get that final call,
I do not care how many flowers they send,
Above all else, the happiest trail would be,
For YOU to say to me, “Let’s ride, My Friend.”
Amen
Roy Rogers
