Ever want to have Horsey Legs?

Seattle artist Kim Graham made herself a pair of horsey legs, and now she’s making more to sell. They’ll cost you about $1000 with the optional spring loaded hooves.

So with the “King’s Horses” that I have, I look at the walk everyday, and now I see how this was done. Looks super cool to me. Now I wonder how fast you could run in these legs, and how big a header you’d take if you fell down. Also I wonder what kind of impact absorber is at the base of the “Hoof” here. I’d expect also a non-slip hoof base. The bottom of a horse’s foot has a frog “V” in the bottom that pumps blood thru the foot and also the hoof is flexible. It is not a rock hard thing and it isn’t a rubber like foot either on a real horse. So now I am interested in how she designed the hoof on her Horsey Legs. Also I wish her good luck, but $1000 is way too much for me, but for custom work it could well be worth it. I hope the build quality is worth everything you pay for here.

Of course you could just build your own!
